Lakeland Mold has recently began adding a
disengagement guide to all J-bolts when 311 and 385M clamps are ordered on a spider. The
disengagement guide steers the clamp's latch bar or U-bolt clear of the J-bolt when
opening the mold/spider. It's a simple idea that makes the operator's job easier. The
operator need only unlatch the clamp once and is assured that the spider is free and clear
to open.
Replacement J-Bolts
Replacement J-bolts are available for
purchase with the disengagement guide welded on.

THREADED THE LENGTH OF THE BOLT!
J-bolts, in conjunction with De-Sta-Co® pull style clamps,
are used to achieve maximum clamping pressure. They are fully adjustable and are available
with or without the disengagement guide welded on. The 1/2-13 size is available for use
with #311 De-Sta-Co® clamps while the 5/8-11 size is to be used with the #385M
De-Sta-Co® clamps.
