This innovative new system enables for "rapid" changing of molds, spiders, and grates on the machine arm - with a single bolt.

A new system to rapidly mount single molds, multi-cavity spiders, and universal grate spiders to the machine arm. This new system provides quick mold and spider changes and enables the operator to work off-line on complex tools/products that require extensive servicing.

This system was developed by Scotsman, located in Fairfax, SC. They have used this system in production for several years and recently granted Lakeland Mold permission to market this product to the Rotomolding industry.

The system is comprised of two components a rotobase that is permanently mounted to the machine arm and a universal mold plate that is welded into the framework of the mold, spider or universal grate. The base utilizes a moving jaw, operated by a single drive hex bolt, to encapsulate the universal mold plate.

The system is available through Lakeland Mold. In Europe and Scandinavia, the system is available through Matrix Polymers.  Units will be in stock and available for shipment Mid-January.

Universal Grates are an excellent means of mounting multiple small spiders on a common grid. The grates bolt directly to the hub of the machine arm, while the spiders bolt directly to the grate. Lakeland Mold will custom make a grate to your specifications for any arm or machine.
