The Lakeland Mold Drop Box allows molders to create products with multiple layers of material. The insulated hopper holds an additional charge of material that can be released at any time during the molding cycle. The Drop Box is activated by 40 psi of compressed air from the machine arm. Hinged lid for ease in charging The Drop Box plug retracts into the Drop Box to release the charge air cylinder actuated by 40 psi insulated chamber.

The outlet or opening size of the hole required to dump the material is 3.75". The lid is 25" across. The height is 20.25" for the 5lb, 21" for the 10lb, 21" for the 20lb, 25" for the 40lb, and 30" for the 60lb.

Drop boxes are sold as individual units and do not include the frame to mount the drop box to your spiders.

All drop boxes are mounted externally to the mold. The drop box bolts onto the mold via a collar at the opening. You wil need to add framework from the mold/spider to the drop box to support the weight of the unit. The framework can be modified based upon existing framework on the mold.
